Established in 1986, the Edmonton Aboriginal Seniors Centre is an Aboriginal non-profit, charitable organization serving our seniors.
Vision
To create and share a welcoming gathering place.
Mission
To enhance the well-being of Edmonton Aboriginal seniors through culturally-guided and accessible services and supports.
Foundational Direction
We are the people of this land. Our histories, traditions, languages, and cultures are interconnected across Turtle Island. By living the Seven Grandfather Teachings and putting seniors at the heart of our circle, we grow our community’s wellness together now andfor generations to come.
Seven Grandfather Teachings
The Seven Grandfather Teachings guide our relationship with ourselves, our members, staff and organization.
We extend our gratitude to the Anishinaabe Nation for these teachings. Today, many Nations across Turtle Island adopt these teachings as the guide to who we are and our relationship with all living things.
